![]() Eminence Redcoat ceramic RF10c is only available in 8 ohms unless custom ordering a one-off for $125 and the only other option I can think of is the Jensen Electric Lightning 10 that will physically fit in the amp. I'm tempted to stick with the Dr Z10, its loud and full sounding but is a little more American and than British chime. I'll try to get it broken in before I make final judgment. Turning the treble up past noon gets weird sounding. With the DT10 Blue I've got the treble around noon and the bass around 9:30 - and its still a little dark and also more gritty even on gain settings that used to be clean-ish. Im really torn b/t the Fender Blues Junior or the Vox AC10. It sucks, but now Im in the market for a new amp. I cant speak for the AC10, but if its got a greenback, I would imagine that it wont cut it either at gigging volumes. Hi Everyone, My Peavey Valveking Royal 8 has crapped out and Im cashing in my Guitar Center Pro Coverage to get a gift card worth what I paid for the amplifier. In order for the Princeton to work for gigs, youll have to swap out the speaker for a very efficient speaker. So.I will say this, right out of the box it is significantly warmer and less bright than I was expecting - much less bright than the 3 m speakers I've already tried: Greenback 10, G10N-40 and a Dr Z 10. When I ordered it online I worded the comments/notes section of the PayPal order awkwardly and so it doesn't appear that it was given the factory break-in. Now, nearly 50 years later, VOX is proud. ![]() I installed my Weber DT10 with a Blue Pup cone the other day and am trying to acclimate to it before I make any sweeping judgments. For this reason, the AC10 has become a highly coveted piece of VOX history since its discontinuation in 1965. ![]()
